KGF Chapter 1 starring Yash released a year ago and made a massive impact on cine goers. Yash was applauded by both South Indian as well as Hindi speaking audience for his powerful performance. The film was loved by the people so much that the makers decided to come with the second chapter of the film within a year titled KGF Chapter 2.

The makers recently treated the fans with the first poster from the film which features Yash in a strong avatar. Yash can be seen donning a blue shirt and black pants while pulling a giant wooden object with Kolar Gold Fields workers. This intriguing poster has now made it to Koimoi’s ‘How’s The Hype?’ and we are eager to know how much you liked the poster.

KGF: Chapter 2 is scheduled to hit the screens in 2020, however, the makers have not revealed its date. The cast of the first film will also return and the sequel, like chapter one, is directed by Prashant Neel.

South Indian movie KGF Chapter 1 is touted as among the most successful movies for 2018. The film gained immense popularity so much, so that dubbed versions were later offered in Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, and Hindi. While the original language of the movie was Kannada, other versions, especially the Hindi version, did well at the box office.
The movie emphasized the battles of a poor young boy and his rise to power. Powerful action sequences and great dialogues were the U.S.P. of the first part.

KGF Chapter 2 Release Date: Early July 2020

With so much success involved around the first version, fans are anticipating the teaser of this film which may get unveiled on January 8. The developers of this film have decided to reveal the trailer on January 8, as a birthday present to Yash. Sanjay Dutt is also expected to be part of the movie in the role of an antagonist named Adheera. The producers were also quoted saying that the first look poster of K.G.F. Chapter 2 will be released on December 21, which is also incidentally the release date of the first part. While there is still considerable doubt over the actual release date of KGF 2, the movie is expected to hit the floors around July 2020. We will keep you updated.

KGF Chapter 2: Release Date And All We Know So Far (JAN 2020 Update)

KGF 1 became a blockbuster hit in India. And after the much-hyped part 1, the makers decided to do a part 2 of the same. A couple of days ago, rumor had it that Sanjay Dutt would play a part in chapter 2 of KGF and if that is true, that shall make KGF as Sanjay Dutt’s first stint in South Indian cinema. As you may know, Kannada star Yash starred in part 1 of KGF which went on to become a major hit. The movie was released in December of last year in five languages such as Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. Yash thus became a household name with a venture like KGF.
Now, reports suggest that Yash has plans to a role in Bollywood actor Sanjay in KGF part 2. Sanjay is supposed to play the role of a villain this time around. Yash also said that chapter 1 of KGF was offered to Sanjay Dutt which he didn’t accept due to reasons of availability. But chapter 2 will be accepted by him, Yash feels.

For those of you who don’t know, Prashanth Neel produced KGF. He also has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the same. Vijay Kiragandur produced the project under the banner of Hombale Films. While there isn’t a set date on when KGF chapter 2 will release, but they say, it may be out next year or so. Part 1 of KGF just got released. Therefore part 2 is slightly away we feel.

KGF Cast

Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Anant Nag and Vasishta N. Simha are part of the cast of KGF. Anant Nag narrates the film. The Hindi distributors of the movie are Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment jointly with Anil Thadani’s AA Films.


There are a lot of rumors going on about Sanjay Dutt’s role in KGF 2, but none of them are true. We already know that Sanjay Dutt was offered a role in the first film too, where he could not make it due to his busy schedule. But the makers have again tried to convince him with an even bigger and important role, and they are waiting for his response. Most of the closely involved people are positive, but it still depends on Dutt’s commitments and schedule

Yash from KGF hopes to make the film even better this time as many foreigners have watched KGF and according to him, they are well equipped this time to handle this for KGF Chapter 2. Yash also revealed that he wants to release the second part as soon as possible, as if it comes later, it would be no point, according to him, people want to watch KGF chapter 2 now, and if it comes later, it won’t be good.
According to various websites and rumors, the KGF chapter is already in the works. However, there’s no confirmation to this, once we have an update on this, we will get back to you.

KGF Impact in the film industry – Update (15 March 2019)

The film has made a huge impact in the film industry, as well as the box office. The response it got from the viewers was overwhelming, and now the viewers are expecting even better second part. While the second part is already in production, the makers, as well as the main star Yash, does not want to make it in a hurry. He suggested that they would like to make the movie in the way it is worth, and it should justify the type of hype it has created after the first part.
According to PinkVilla, the creators have already completed two schedules, and now they are waiting for Yash to join and complete his part of the shoot.
